Seema Agrawal and Mehul Shah of the Zee Finance Team recently made us proud by scoring high in the recently held examination by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). Both of them feature in the top 20 with Seema at the second position with 66 per cent and Mehul score 62 per cent.
The MCA has made International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) compulsory for Indian entities with certain criteria.
As the focus is shifting from national to international standards, there was a need amongst finance specialists to update themselves to international reporting standards which are widely accepted. Keeping this in mind Seema and Mehul enrolled with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)- UK, and successfully qualified for a Diploma in International Financial Reporting (DipIFR).
To prepare themselves for the examination they had internal sessions/discussions in office every Friday and tried to clarify each other’s doubts.
Kudos to Seema and Mehul for making us proud!
