Chinmay of Bangalore was declared the winner of Zee Kannada’s biggest music talent hunt Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa, at a grand ceremony on May 6. Besides a brand new Hyundai Santro, Chinmay also won an album contract with the prestigious Ashwini Audio and gold worth Rs 15,000/-. He was honoured by the legendary playback singer S Janaki.

The finals of Zee Kannada’s Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa was a musical battle between Bangalore’s Chinmay and Chitradurga’s Sowmyashree. The auditorium was packed with people who had braved the rain to witness the stunning performances.

Out of over 5000 participants from different districts of Karnataka, 52 were selected for the elimination rounds. The programme had renowned musicians like Ratnamala Prakash, Raju Ananthaswamy, B K Sumitra, Kasturi Shankar, N S Prasad and Fayaz Khan guiding the young talents all through.
