Zee launches an afternoon daily Meri Doli Tere Angana on May 21, in an effort to beef up the afternoon time band. The show airs at 2pm form Monday to Thursday and will replace the repeat telecast of Saath Phere. “After the successful launch of our prime-time shows, we are delighted to offer another brand new series for our afternoon viewers. The show revolves around this simple girl Simran, who belongs to a very traditional Punjabi family,” says Zee TV Programming Head Ashivini Yardi. Meri Doli Tere Angana narrates the story of an orphan girl Simran who obeys the wishes of her uncle and aunt who have brought her up. She settles for an arranged marriage, but on the day of wedding, her husband Ruhaan reveals his love for someone else. This shocking revelation does not deter Simran from her duties and responsibilities in deciding to fight with the shadow of her husband's past and get him back. Meri Doli Tere Angana has Priyamvada S as Simran, along with other stars like Gaurav Khanna, Pankaj Berry and Madhvi Gokhte.
