The Essel Karnataka’s Police Awards ceremony this time will be a departure from the past.

As the aim of this initiative is to motivate the youth, inspirational lectures will be delivered by a former judge and senior police officers.

The first lecture will be by Justice V S Malimath, retired Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court and former Chairman of the Police Reforms Commission. Justice Malimath will speak on insulating the police from political interference.

Another star speaker is Dr Ajai Kumar Singh, Director-General of Police (CoD). Regarded as one of the cleanest officers, Dr Singh has an unblemished career spanning over three decades.

The other prominent speakers are: Ms Jija S Harisingh, Karnataka’s first lady IPS officer and Mr M T Naik, retired Superintendent of Police.
