Pravin Jain, Executive (Sales), Zee News Ltd, Mumbai, has won himself a gift hamper comprising a Play TV travel bag and a T-Shirt and cap from Zee TV for posting his views on the Essel Newsletter Discussion Board.
The Essel Newsletter had sought views from Essel associates on ways to build employee loyalty and retaining good employees, especially in a job market where the demand for reliable workers exceeds availability.
Here is Pravin’s response:
Well, one of the fundamental thing an organisation should follow to retain good employees is to be scrupulously honest in evaluating them on all parameters. But when it comes to retaining, it demands incentives on both the grounds - monetary and rewarding them with something honourable.
Felicitating is the platform for the organisation to enable a connection with their good employees. A clear picture of their growth in line with the organisation is probably the best motivation. But constant motivation or re-motivation is very important as it describes how close the organisation is to the employee. But the most distinguishing factor which is quintessential for organisations to be effective is personal attention responding to the employee’s needs.
