Zee Café goes back to the ‘Old Skool’

Apr 27, 2007

Zee Café beats the summer heat with nostalgia and stand-up comedy. Starting May 14, tune into the new programming band – ‘Old Skool’ which airs from 6pm to 7pm, Momday to Friday, and has your favourite shows of the past, including The Wonder Years and Doogie Howser MD.

The Wonder Years, which ran from 1988-1993 in the US, has Kevin Arnold recalling his early days in the 1960's. It looks at the turbulent social times that made the transition from child to adult unusually interesting.

Doogie Howser MD is about a teenaged genius dealing with the usual problems of growing up - having a girlfriend, partying, hanging out with his best friend, all this with being a licensed physician in a difficult residency programme.

Another new show lined up is Top 10 Countdown which is a Top 10 ratings show, featuring the best and worst from the world of fashion, films and lifestyle.

The channel will also air the science fiction show Battlestar Galactica - an epic saga of a group of humans aboard Battlestar Galactica who are forced to abandon their planet.
