Playwin ads win Mirchi Kaan awards

Playwin ads make headlines once again, this time, at the 4th Mirchi Kaan Awards in Mumbai on May 18, 2007. Playwin's radio ads created by O&M won two silver awards in the Sports, Entertainment, Travel and Leisure category. The entries were titled 'While you were - Executive' and 'While you were - Housewife'.

Playwin's Extortion Week campaigns launched when the jackpot amount piled to Rs 11 crore also win four bronze trophies.

The Mirchi Kaan Awards recognise and reward excellence in radio advertising. This year, the awards received more than 600 entries. The jury for the Kaan awards comprised big names of the advertising industry like Piyush Pandey (O&M), Prasoon Joshi (McCann Erickson), Prahlad Kakkar (Genesis Films) KV Sridhar (Leo Burnett) and Chakravarthi K S (Rediffusion DY & R).

"2007 is an exciting year for radio. 245 stations will go on-air taking the total number of private FM radio stations to 276 this year. With more and more FM radio stations going live each week, companies and brands can hardly afford to ignore the power of radio any more. The creative excellence which has been demonstrated on radio in the last few years is set to scale new heights with the growth of radio and we look forward to continuing to recognise and honour outstanding creative work in radio advertising,' stated A P Parigi, MD and CEO, Radio Mirchi.
