The alarm going off at 6 am after which I drag myself out and proceed for my walk. I'm back by about 7. The next two hours are a race against time as I have a quick cup of tea, supervise the day's cooking, wake up my daughter and cajole her into finishing up her morning routine. Then a shower and breakfast and I'm ready to face the monster called the Mumbai Traffic which I need to wage a war with everyday to reach work.
Is one where I handle numerous calls, liaise between agents and employees try to work out the best solution for the emergency that invariably comes up. The situations I face everyday hone my skill to face anything with the knowledge that each problem has a solution. The point is how fast can you find it…
Is a bright spot in the day… I take a much needed break, catch up with colleagues at the café sometimes even a short walk. Typically it is also a time when my palate and guilt have a go at each other.
Is something that has stayed with me over the years. I give a 100% to each and every task I undertake however mundane it may seem. My belief is that excellence is not a one off thing… it should be constantly worked upon.
Sometimes aching feet, sometimes headache, very often a checklist on what has to be done tomorrow but always with a hope that the next day will be the first day of the rest of my life. And of course, the monster I meet on my way home. The silver lining to my day is the thought of the lil angel who waits for me at home…
The sun WILL rise tomorrow.
