Ever wondered how busy and challenging the life of your Esselite colleague really is? With our column 24 hours with an Esselite we attempt to find out. Meet Sonia Dadheech, Executive Producer, ZEE TV shows.
Department and Location:
Programming, Mumbai (Worli)
I am the Executive Producer for two shows for ZEE TV. My role involves show design, conceptualization, casting, budgeting and liaising between channel and production houses.
When you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.
My Day Starts with...
The newspaper and piping hot tea that my mom makes for me. I then head for work and take the AC bus service to come to Worli. I love to catch up with a nap in the bus and doze off soon after I take the ticket. My body clock is so well-tuned to this routine that I wake up exactly 5 min before it is time for me to alight!
My Typical Day in Office...
Starts with a cup of coffee. A typical day for me is lot of phone calls, meetings and interactions. I love my work and enjoy every minute of it. My colleagues are like my friends and we work and do a lot of masti like one big family. I guess it is this healthy environment and camaraderie that drives me to work each day.
Lunch Hour Means...
Time for good food with my colleagues. I savor my mom's food for lunch. Lunch hour usually means catching up with colleagues. We sometimes take a walk and then head to our chai ki tapri outside the office.
Is my work. I love to travel and explore new places. My dream destination is Paris and one day I will definitely visit it. I want to experience the night life and shop there. I am a trained Bollywood contemporary dancer from Shiamak Davar's Academy and used to run my own dance classes. One day, I want to go back to dancing, may be just weekends to begin with. Listening to music is an integral part of me. Hindi film music is my favorite and AR Rehman my idol.
My Day Ends with...
Light music to de-stress me. If there's urgent office work to finish off, I clear all that before retiring to bed.
