Kwese TV, the DTH platform of Econet Media with its head office in Johannesburg, South Africa recently celebrated the launch of WION news channel 731 on the Kwese platform. Zee TV Africa team were also on hand to join in the celebrations.
Kwese CEO, Joseph Hundah welcomed Zee TV Africa CEO, Harish Goyal and the ZEE team to the event, where he introduced his executive team. He was excited to talk about the launch of WION, following the successful launches of Zee Bollymovies and Zee Bollynova.
Earlier in the year, Kwese TV had launched in Ghana, Zambia and Rwanda and have plans to launch in Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda and a few other countries by December. With these launches, Kwese will be the second largest DTH operator in reach after DSTV in Africa.
Speaking on the occasion, Zee TV Africa CEO Mr Harish Goyal said "We are honoured to be a part of the Kwese Platform and believe that our channels will be the drivers for Kwese in their journey to become one of the leading platform operators in Africa. We look forward to adding exciting channels on Kwese in times to come".
