While the Diwali weekend was a time of fun and frolic for all, the pre-Diwali festivities at the Zee office in Mumbai ensured that employees had an exciting time.
It was 'traditional day' on November 8 and the office wore a festive look with paper lanterns and flowers. Associates came dressed in traditional apparel and as is the custom, the 'judges' kept a hawk's eye to trace the 'best dressed lady and gentleman' for the day. Sumbul Eran from the HR Department walked away with the prize for the 'best dressed lady'. Among the men, it was a cakewalk for Ramesh Ghadge from the Accounts Department.
The lantern making competition the previous day was an exciting time as the enlisted four teams snipped, chopped and pasted paper, thermocol and colours to create exquisite lanterns. The team comprising Sunil Pawar, Vivek Kadam, Hemant More and Ravi Shetye won the contest.
The Rangoli contest saw a tie between two teams - Rupali and Sheetal Pai and Neeta Baing and Ruchita Gurav. The former created a unique Ganpati in the shape of leaves while the other team made a traditional rangoli – resplendent and colourful. The two other teams with Vipul Bhalala and Sumeet R and Dhanashree and Nandkishore also had attractive rangolis.
The treasure hunt saw a whirlwind of activity even as the team of Sushmitha, Kartikeya, Santosh and Scherezade, cracked the clues to win the 'treasure'.
