DNA turned two on July 30, 2007 and the celebrations were ‘Twice As Nice’! With balloons, champagne, cake, snacks and music, the two-year old ‘baby’ had a party that definitely rocked!
The theme for the celebration was ‘DNA – Twice as Nice’. The reception was decked with lights that resembled a synthesis of Hollywood and a discotheque. A slide show of historic events played on the video wall. The office was bursting with Brand DNA colored balloons. One could walk down memory lane, envisioning events of the past two years that were captured by DNA front pages, in shimmering laminated copies turning the walls into a gallery of current events.
The celebrations began at 6pm with the photo-cake, capturing the achievements, moods and people. The cake was cut by Girish Agarwal, Subhash Chandra, K U Rao, M. Venkataraman, N B Verma, Arup Gupta, R Jagannathan, Ayaz Memon and Kamal Jain.
“I think DNA has reached a stage where I no longer need to worry about the company. Earlier I used to come here every three weeks, but now I have reduced my visits, because I think DNA has come of age, and is no longer a troubled child,’ said Essel Group Chairman Subhash Chandra.
The CEO – K U Rao highlighted the fact that DNA had generated the highest revenues through Ad Sales this year. “If continue with this team spirit together, it wouldn’t be long before we could scale the new heights,” he added.
The celebrations continued with the popping of champagne bottles and the gala echoed throughout the floor till late evening.
