EBEX (Essel Business Excellence Services Ltd), an arm of Essel group, an Indian conglomerate, has been on an award spree. The MD & CEO of EBEX, Mr Irendra Chhabra, has been honoured with the award of 'Business Transformational Leader of the year', during the Business Transformation Summit held in Mumbai on 5th December 2017. This comes close on the heels of EBEX being felicitated for being the best shared services provider in India serving the Indian market, at the 7th Shared Services Forum Conclave 2017, on 24th November 2017, in New Delhi.
EBEX is identified as not only the first shared service for media, offering mainstream functions, like F&A, Procurement, IT, Payroll, but also offering complex processes like Legal, Talent Acquisition & Revenue assurance as a service, with overall 18 processes on the list. Mr Irendra Chhabra, representing EBEX as the distinguished winner, shared his visionary approach, “Business transformation is not a technology roll-out, it's not implementation of few tools, it's a cultural change, it's a mindset change, with 3 levers – people, process & technology. For any transformation you have to work on all three levers.”
Business Transformation Summit 2017 - Journey Towards Excellence, was a premier knowledge exchange platform to share ideas, information and solutions around the framework, innovation, trends & all key developments that will improve the organisation's transformation process, held at JW Marriot, Juhu, in Mumbai. The summit observed presence from eminent leaders from various business houses including JP Morgan Chase, Dell, Piramal, Marico, Tata Singapore Airlines, Jubilant Foodworks, Kirloskar, Crompton Greaves, Hindalco, Metlife, VMware & Welspun.
While all leaders discussed how transformation can become the game changer, innovation & technology being the key, Irendra Chhabra from EBEX conveyed his idea of transformation being at the organizational culture level. “Business transformation is a journey and not a means to an end. I believe that no transformation is possible without creating a culture of innovation, purpose, passion, empowerment, process orientation and digital dexterity“, he said.
“Transformation is not the end, it's an incessant journey. The focus should be on creating a culture of transformation, because it affects your business decisions and gives direction to your transformational journey”, says Chhabra. He has released his whitepaper on cultural transformation via his LinkedIn profile and on the business website http://esselebex.com
