The MoU was signed between Shri. C. Venkataramana, CEO, Essel Infraprojects Ltd. (EIL) and Shri. Mohammed Sulaiman, Secretary-Energy, Government of Madhya Pradesh today in the presence of Shri. Shivrajsingh Chauhan, Honorable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and other industry leaders.
“EIL is now looking at foraying into Power Transmission and Distribution Franchisee businesses”, added the proud CEO, Shri. C. Venkataramana.
The cost of the Essel Power Project is about Rs.3000 crores. Essel Infra is already developing a 100 MW hydro project in Nepal. There is also another Hydel Power Project in India, Sikkim under progress.
Further, other opportunities in the areas of Renewable Energy like Solar Power and Wind Power are also under active focus of EIL.
