Mumbai FC U19 beat Mahindra Ltd. U19 2-1 in the final of MFL Super Division to be crowned as champions.  The Mumbai FC team outclassed their rivals with a phenomenal performance. The second half of the match saw the Mumbai FC team stamp their authority of the pitch.

The scoreboard numbers could have been different if some of Mumbai FC’s opportunities were converted into goals. The championship has meant that Mumbai FC U19 has bagged Rs. 65,000 as winners and qualified to play in the MFL Elite Division league which also includes Mumbai FC’s senior team reserves.

Speaking on the victory, Mumbai FC General Manager Henry Menezes said, “Khalid Jamil, the team coach and his boys dished out beautiful football in front of a packed house comprising of parents, grand parents, uncles, aunties friends and girl friends. This performance was the right anecdote for fan building and reassures our supporters and critics alike that our youth development system is on the right track. Mumbai has talent and at Mumbai FC we are able to bring out the best from these young boys. It won’t be long when we get to see more local lads in the senior squad which is an encouraging sign for football.”
