Noiz Network is proud to receive the 'Silver Button' from YouTube for reaching 100,000 subscribers on the ZeeQ India YouTube channel. The current subscriber count is over 255k and growing. The entire growth has been organic and can be attributed to the content as well as the content upload strategy. Post ZeeQ shutting on Jan 31, 2017, the channel lay dormant till April 2017. The number of subscribers at that time stood at 22k.
The growth strategy has been based on converting the channel into an animation library with three of ZEE's wholly owned animation shows:
o Bandbudh aur Budbak
o Pyaar Mohabbat Happy Lucky
o Chimpoo Simpoo
These shows were all originally designed for television with 22 min episodes, which contained 2-3 segments. Our upload strategy revolved around repackaging these segments as individual episodes and uploading the same. A different strategy was followed for different shows basis the original TV performance of the same:
o Bandbudh aur Budbak - this was the most popular show of erstwhile ZeeQ channel and we also had the most episodes of the same - 78. This allowed us to have 156 YT length episodes. The same were uploaded 4 times a week during the Indian summer holidays. Post that we reduced the frequency to 2/week. These are doing extremely well with 25 episodes crossing a million views each.
o Chimpoo Simpoo - a detective show for which we have 52 YT length episodes - we upload these once a week and would have regular uploads till March 2018.
o Pyaar Mohabbat Happy Lucky - these episodes are shorter (7 mins) and good for binge watching - these are uploaded in bunches of 5/10 every month.
The varied strategy has helped the channel grow to current numbers. With pending content, we will be able to provide the viewers with additional content till mid-2018.
