Sarthi, the flagship initiative of Subhash Chandra Foundation has been recognised for its role in empowering and informing citizens about their rights and supporting them in accessing government schemes and services for their betterment and for bringing sustainable positive change in their lives.
The ASIA PACIFIC HRM CONGRESS AWARD 2018 was held on 4th and 5th September 2018, in Bengaluru. Sarthi was awarded in the “Development of Women & Children” category. The award was received by Ms. Niloufer Khandwawala on behalf of Subhash Chandra Foundation.
Sarthi was launched in 2016 and is currently actively working in four states of the country, namely, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh with the objective of uplifting the underserved communities by linking them to various social schemes and entitlements. The core intervention areas under Sarthi are Education, Women Empowerment, Health, Alternate Livelihood and Social Justice.
Till date, Sarthi has empowered 1.2 lakh citizens since its inception and aims to reach additional 2 lakh citizens by this year end.
