The current pulse of the world is the new normal and those who are keeping up with it can ride the wave. Keeping with the current times, Zee TV Asia Pacific has launched a unique initiative- T-to-Zee – Theatre to Zee.
The television entertainment industry has adapted to the recent changing times and reinventing things to make sure the show goes on. Dramas were being shot on phone, movies are getting released on OTT platforms, concerts are happening on social media live. While all this goes on, theatre as an art form is still reeling under the new restrictions. Therefore, the concept of T-to-Zee evolved to give theatre a new stage and to allow our viewers to enjoy the reality of theatre in the comfort of their homes.
Under the umbrella branding of T-to-Zee, we are curating a selection of four handpicked plays of the celebrated Singapore theatre group, HuM Theatre on to TV screens. “This is the first time any Hindi channel is pushing the boundary of TV Entertainment in such a way in Singapore and Asia Pacific” says Harish Goyal, CEO, Asia Pacific and Africa.
“The content is relevant and relatable to the diaspora across the Asia-Pacific region. The plays will bring a fresh form of entertainment and content to viewers” said Tripta Singh, EVP, Asia Pacific.
The four plays picked for this screening are carefully selected to entertain our discerning audience. The plays have been edited to suit TV viewers. T-to-Zee will be a month-long festival on the channel and started on 30th August, every Sunday at 3 PM SGT.
