Zee Studios announced a fantastic run at the box office for Janhvi and Ishaan's Dhadak collecting Rs. 100 crores gross worldwide at the end of second week. The film released in 2235 screens in India and 556 screens overseas.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Dhadak is an eternal love story of two beating hearts. The film has been receiving massive response from audiences in the heartland of India including Bihar, Rajasthan, UP, CP, Gujarat, Nizam, and Delhi among others.
Speaking about the film's response, Bhumika Tewari, Head-India Distribution, said, “We are delighted with the amazing love that Dhadak has received from audiences especially from the heartland of India, including the Hindi mass belts. We are thankful for the fabulous response, and hope the film continues its dream run at the box office”.
Akshay Rathi, one of the leading exhibitors from heartland India sheds light on how the film is winning hearts in these circuits, “After a terrific start in its opening weekend, Dhadak has sustained fabulously in tier II and III cities in the country. The story and treatment of the film resonated well with audiences in these pockets, strong box office numbers even in the second week show audience acceptance, despite release of a Hollywood biggie like Mission Impossible Fallout”.
