Come November 16, and Zee TV will launch two new shows, in an attempt to strengthen its weekend prime time band. Slotted at 9 pm and 9:30 pm, the two shows are Chaldi da naam gaddi and Alladin. “This is our step towards strongly establishing our weekend band from Friday to Sunday,” stated Punit Goenka, network operating officer, ZEEL. Chaldi da naam gaddi is a comedy show based on a Punjabi family. It is about a family of performers, the Kapoor family, who hail from a small town – Bhatinda - in Punjab, and hence the name of their caravan- 'Balle Balle Bhatinda Wale'. “The characters are unique and so are their little quirks. The show has the capability to make one laugh and cry at the same time. The emotions of the storyline are so subtle that an instant union is established with the viewer,” added Goenka. Aladdin is a series based on popular tales and is spiced with computer graphics and special effects. Mail your feedback on this article to firstname.lastname@example.org.
