The students of Zee Institute of Media Arts (ZIMA) polished their skills in pronunciation and diction in a two-day workshop organised in Noida in the second week of January. It was conducted by Athar Sayeed, a radio and TV professional and anchor of long standing.
The workshop was conducted in two phases - theory and practical, with intense sessions for both. The first part of workshop was focused majorly on improving the diction of the students, both in Hindi and Urdu. Students were also given a brief idea about the dos and don'ts of scripting and anchoring. The second part of the workshop focused on the practical aspect of voicing and diction, wherein the students were made to practice in the studio and the PCR.
Dr. Ambrish Saxena, Academic Head of ZIMA and ZICA, introduced the resource person to the students and welcomed him at ZIMA. Ms. Deepa Zutshi, senior faculty, expressed gratitude to Mr. Athar for imparting desired skills to the students. Ms. Lakhvinder Kaur, counsellor, was also present on the occasion.
